                     iv.         “Application” means the software program named Hi Hello provided by us downloaded by You on any electronic device.

                       v.         “Personal Data” is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

                     vi.         “Service Provider” means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of Hi Hello. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by Hi Hello to facilitate the Services, to provide the Services on behalf of Hi Hello, to perform services related to the Services or to assist Hi Hello in analyzing how the Services are used.

                    vii.         “Third-party Service” refers to any website or any social networking website through which a User can log in or create an account to use or access our Services.

                        i.         “Cookies” are text files containing small amounts of information that are downloaded on your Device when you visit our website and allow us to recognize your Device. Cookies managed by Hi Hello only are called “first party cookies” whereas cookies from third parties are called “third party cookies” under this Policy. For simplicity, all of these are also regarded as “Cookies” in this Policy.

                       ii.         Location, file access and storage permissions: With your prior permission to provide and improve some important features of the Services, we may need information regarding your location and other information from your Device's camera and photo library.

                      iii.         Usage Data: This Data is collected automatically for the purpose of improving the Services. Usage Data includes your Device's Internet Protocol address (IP address), details about the Operating System (OS), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Services that You visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

We may also collect any other information that your Device’s browser sends whenever You use our Services.

                     iv.         Data from Third-Party Services: Hi Hello allows you to link and create an account and log in through third parties like Facebook, Google, and Twitter. By using this method, you authorize us to use your profile picture, e-mail, name, birth date, and other Personal Data and information. You also authorize us to access certain information, including information about your friends who might be using our Services. 

                       v.         Data collection by Cookies: We use, and may allow others to use Cookies as well. You are advised to read our Cookie Policy for more information on why we use them and how you can better control their use.

                     vi.         Information you willingly share on public-viewable screens: 

a.     You understand that whatever content, details, or media you share on public-viewable screens would be available in the public domain and may be saved by other Users and the public. 

b.    Users shall be solely responsible for all representations, statements, and in the context of any form of media that they may express, share or upload in free-text areas and otherwise.

c.     We disclaim any responsibility regarding thereto and suggest exercising discretion and caution while sharing such information on our Services.



  1. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA:
    We use your Personal Data in accordance with this Policy or with your express content to give you a seamless experience and for improving our Services by disclosing the information to relevant departments, parties and affiliates. Along with the aforesaid, we may use your data for the following:

                        i.         To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Services

                       ii.         To manage Your Account; to manage your registration as a User of the Services. The Personal Data You provide allows access to different functionalities of the Services that are available to You as a registered User.

                      iii.         To be there for you; to attend and manage your requests regarding refunds, reporting or otherwise.

                     iv.         To help you connect with other Users; analyze your profile and that of other Users to recommend connections; show Users’ profiles to one another.

                       v.         To prevent, detect and fight fraudulent, violating and unauthorised activities; to find and address ongoing, suspected or alleged violations of our Terms of Use, notably through the review of reports and interactions between members.

                     vi.         For business transfers: We may use your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data held by us about our Services’ Users is among the assets transferred.

                    vii.         Legal episodes: Apart from collecting Data for legal compliance, in case of a User violating any part of the Terms of Use, this Policy or other enforceable agreements, for settlement of any claim(s), criminal or civil prosecution, or as per the orders or for providing assistance to any law enforcement or judicial agency, we may use the information collected as per our sole discretion to the maximum extent permissible by law.

                   viii.         For other purposes: We may use your Personal Data to place and promote our partners’ advertisements and promotions in accordance with our Terms of Use. We may also use information collected from our cookies to identify user behaviour and to serve content and offers based on your profile, age, region and language, and for other purposes legally permissible.


  1. HOW OTHERS MAY USE YOUR DATA:
    You understand that we share your information and Data with Service Providers who help us in keeping your Data safe and the Services sooth and bug-free. They may use your Data for fulfilling related contractual obligations with us,.
    Performance Reports: We may share in public or private the aggregate number of Users of our services using filters and other analytical tools. Such reports by the virtue of being available in the public, can be used by anyone.


  1. WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR DATA:

                        i.         All our data is stored in India using the services of a third party (AWS). The storage of data is subject to such third party’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy which are subject to change with time, and without notice. By accepting this policy, the User accepts to bear the onus for staying updated with their policies.

                      ii.         Payment-related Data: Hi Hello does not retrieve or save your credit or debit card credentials and other financial information. All payments are handled by a dedicated Service Provider who provides us with payment details and such information is reflected upon your account in accordance with the said Party’s terms of use and Privacy Policy. 

 

  1. DATA SECURITY:
    We take all reasonable steps and decisions to ensure safety of your Data and protect it from fraud, hacking and other unauthorized use. Since your Data is stored through third-party services, we do not guarantee that unauthorised access, hacking, data loss or other breaches will never occur. Your use of our Services is totally a matter of your choice and discretion.

 

  1. OPT-OUT PROVISIONS/YOUR RIGHTS:
    We endeavor to make you in control of the information you share.  You are empowered to opt-in or opt-out of marketing/promotional/newsletter mailings. Upon opting out, provisions of this Privacy Policy and other related policies will become applicable. However, Hi Hello reserves the right to send service-related communication without offering the User the facility to opt-out.

    Listed below are the ways how you can exercise your control over your Data:

                        i.         Device Permissions: You can set, reset and change the permissions that you grant in context of collecting your geographical location, access to gallery, camera, contacts, etc. through your Device’s settings.

                      ii.         Uninstalling the App: You can stop all information collection by an app by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process for your device. Remember that uninstalling an app does NOT close your Account. To close your Account, please use the corresponding functionality on the app.

                    iii.         Deleting your account: You can also close your Account by using the corresponding functionality directly on the app. Your Data is still subject to Section 7 of this Policy. 

                     iv.         Reaching out to Us: You may also review, edit or delete certain information by directly reaching out to us in case you feel that the information we hold about you is incorrect, obsolete, or we are not authorised to keep it in our records, subject to our sole approval on case-to-case basis, by directly writing to us. The response time to such requests is 30 days.



  1. HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION:

                        i.         Hi Hello will retain Your Personal Data, even after deletion of account, only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. The disabled/deleted account profile will however be taken off the public-viewable pages for communication. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for instance, records of consents to our Terms, Privacy Policy and other similar consents are kept for five years), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

                      ii.         Hi Hello will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is usually retained for a short period of time, except when this data is used to tighten the security or to improve the delivery of our Services, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

                    iii.         Hi Hello will retain your data if there is an outstanding issue, claim or dispute requiring us to keep the relevant information with us until it is resolved.

                     iv.         In case of non-activity of the User for 6 (six) consecutive months, we may delete or disable the User’s account and all or some of the Data relating thereto.



  1. INFORMATION SHARING:
    Hi Hello does not rent, sell or share any personal or sensitive information of User other than as mentioned in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use with any third party.

 

  1. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY:
    Hi Hello restricts access to its Services for persons below the age of 18 years. If you see a minor using our Services, please report his/her profile immediately or reach out to us directly. We do not collect data from minors in our capacity.

    Hi Hello reserves the right to change, modify, edit, and/or delete the whole or any part of this Policy at any time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Policy on this page. The User has the onus to keep checking the updated Policy from time to time on our website.
